ＮＨＫ「テレビで中国語」　２０１０／９月号)【応用編】　荒川清秀先生著よりの学習報告です。

「“多 duō”　を使った言い方」について

“多少 duōshǎo”　は
“多 duō”　（多い）　と　“少 shǎo”　（少ない）　を合わせて、
「どのくらい」という量を表しています。

　これとは別に、
中国語では、「“多 duō”＋積極的な形容詞」　の組み合わせで、
「高さ、大きさ、深さ、長さ」などを表すことができます。

この場合の　“多 duō”　は　「どのくらいの～」　という副詞で、
“多少 duōshǎo”　とは作られ方が違います。

“多高 duōgāo”　：　どのくらいの高さ

“多大 duōdà”　：　どのくらいの大きさ
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　どのくらいの年格好

“多远 duōyuǎn”　：　どのくらいの遠さ
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　どのくらいの距離

“多深 duōshēn” ： どのくらいの深さ

“多长 duōcháng” ： どのくらいの長さ

“多 duō”　shows as Adverb :

1. 副词 [用在疑问句中] how

¶　从北京到上海有多远？
　　How far is it from Beijing to Shanghai?

¶　你儿子多大了？
　　How old is your son?


2. 副词 [表示感叹] how

¶　多美的城市！
　　How beautiful this town is!

¶　这女孩儿多聪明啊！
　　This girl is so clever!

3. 副词 [表示任何一种程度] however

¶　无论多晚，她都会等他回家。
　　However late it got, she would wait up for him to return home.

¶　给我一把尺，多长都行。
　　Give me a ruler – any length will do.

只要 [zhǐyào] shows :

1. 连词 so long as

只要我们有信心，就会战胜困难。
As long as we have confidence, we can overcome difficulties.

这句话只要改动一两个字就顺了。
Just change one or two words and the sentence will read smoothly.

只要突破这一关，就好办了。
Once we have got over this difficulty, it will be plain sailing.

只要你注意搜集，久而久之，资料就丰富了。
If you keep on collecting, in time you'll have a wealth of data.

你只要设身处地想想他的处境，就可以理解他为什么会有那种表现。
If you put yourself in his place, you may realize why he acted as he did.
